Wine and Dine in the Pines, together with Alliance Beverage, is please to welcome winegrower Stewart Vandenburg from Alexander Valley Vineyards for a Special Event tasting held on Sunday August 17, 2008 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.  The Special Event will require a separate admission ticket and will feature a 4 vintage vertical tasting of the award winning Alexander Valley Vineyards Estate Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Special Event will be both educational and fun as we taste special wines that are not widely available.  The vertical tasting will allow participants to taste the nuances between vintages and growing seasons.  Mr. Vandenburg will lead the tasting and discussions on the 700 day process that goes into making their award winning Cabernet’s as well as discussions on the various stages the grapevines go through in a typical growing season.  Food samplings will be provided by The Cottage Place and will accent these bold Cabernet Sauvignon’s. 

The Special Event tickets can be purchased starting on July 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM by calling the NAU Athletic Office at 928-523-5353.  The Special Event is limited to 50 participants.  The ticket price is $125 per person and includes admission to the Special Event and the General Event tasting which runs from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
